FOUNDER & PRESIDENT, CARO Marketing
Caroline Rothwell Gerstein is the Founder and President of CARO Marketing as well as the Creative Director of the CARO Studio. What began as a political career working in environmental politics, while simultaneously juggling an independent label music career, led her to Los Angeles, California where she planted her roots in fashion, styling and retail.
Caroline launched CARO Marketing in 2004 as a consulting company, after resigning from her post as Vice President at a $100M apparel business which she helped to build from the ground up. Her credits for her creative work with designers and influencers can be attributed to her being an artist herself, understanding that without authenticity, PR falls flat and loses its edge.
Through her hallmark "guerilla-style" approach to brand building, valuable industry insights, and proven, solutions-based approach to connecting big business with the pulse of the industry, she has earned the merit of being one of the best in the business.
2015 marked a ten year work anniversary for Caroline and the agency, working with a wide range of clients from Fortune 500 companies to emerging designers. She celebrated a decade of CARO by opening the CARO studio in downtown Los Angeles.
Today, she continues to feed her love for creativity, fashion and art though collaborations with indie artists while personally overseeing all CARO Marketing clients and strategies. Consulting projects are her passion and she can often be found submerged in her "latest project" ranging from a $500 million dollar rebrand strategy to creative brainstorms with executive brand managers.
Caroline is the mother of daughter Chloe and back-up singer to her husband and fellow musician, Stevie G. Together, they live in Hollywood, CA.
